Dark-tipped Button Star

Meridiastra atyphoida (H.L. Clark, 1916)

A small pentagonal shaped seastar with a variable body pattern and colouring the tips of each arm are dark in colour.

This is a lesser seen member of this family of seastars and as such little is known about it.
