The shell has an oval shape that is widest in the centre the apex of the shell is backward pointing there is a slit in the anterior of the shell margin the shell has strrong beaded axial ribs with crossed concentric ribs and it is white in colour

Lives intertidally and subtidally attached to rocks from the low tide mark to a depth of around 270m
