Medium-sized beetle with oval outline, arched in profile. Antennae moderately long, forward-pointing and widening towards their tips. Thorax bears dense but fine punctures, while wing-cases (elytra) bear only weakly-raised longitudinal ridges and rows of shallow pits and corrugations. Body-colour dark brown or dark grey, with irregular patches of long, pale scales, particularly on the elytra
