Spotted Ground Swift Spider

Nyssus coloripes Walckenaer, 1805

Head black with white stripes. Abdomen black with white spots. Forelegs orange, remaining legs with patches of white and black. Legs with claw tufts, so they can climb smooth surfaces. Male similar, slightly smaller. Fangs opposed, pinching.

They do not build webs, but roam freely, spinning only a few strands of silk behind bark, or other objects, as a retreat.
