About

This species is found locally in particular around Tomahawk Point and Tomahawk Island although it is more in the subtidal zone rather than the intertidal areas and rock pools

Identification

The elongated, ribbon-like orangish body is highlighted by three thin reddish longitudinal stripes as you look across the body

Size

Can grow to around 20 to 70 mm long and 5 to 7 mm wide

Habitat

It lives at shallow depths (0 - 5 meters) under stones and in rock cracks and on certain shrubby bryozoans

Distribution

Widespread across the world including in the Mediterranean and Eastern Atlantic oceans
