Common Eastern Froglet

About

Like everywhere else this is a very common frog and can be found in roadside ditches at various times and thoughout local freshwater wetlands

Identification

Body colour and pattern variable. Back mostly brown or black in colour with a striped, plain or marbled pattern. Belly rough with small lumps, and white with grey to black spots

Size

Can grow up to around 30mm

Habitat

They can be found in a diverse range of habitats including, beneath rocks, vegetation and debris at the edge of creeks, ponds, swamps and areas of seepage

Distribution

Southeastern Australia from Queensland to South Australia including throughout Tasmania
