Mimachlamys asperrima (Lamarck, 1819)

The Shell has 20-26 ridges that radiate from the hinge to the edge colours range from orange, yellow to purple with the adults often encrusted with sponges.

Juveniles often found washed up locally and feel rough to the touch.
