About

This species feautres an oval shell with the apical openning (hole) central to slightly posterior. The colour is variable from fawns to black overlayed with ray like shadesthe shells pattern features radial ribs crossed by concentric growth lines the margin of the shell is smooth.

Size

Can grow to around 25mm however more commonly around 10-13mm

Habitat

Under rocks on exposed rocky shores from low tide down to about 70 m

Distribution

Southern Australian coasts from QLD to WA including Tasmania
