Black Keyhole Limpet

Amblychilepas nigrita (Sowerby, 1834)

This species feautres an oval shell with the apical openning (hole) central to slightly posterior. The colour is variable from fawns to black overlayed with ray like shadesthe shells pattern features radial ribs crossed by concentric growth lines the margin of the shell is smooth.
