Common around the coast including locally along Tomahawk Beach and can easily be confused with other species although if looked at closely you can noramlly define the six plates

Whiteish to grey in colour with six plates, the colour vary slightly and can have a brownish to greenish apperance and erroded plates can have a pointed tooth like apperance

Can be found on exposed rocky shores around the high tide mark

Southern Australia including around Tasmania
