About

A brown alga common in the area the main stalk (stipe) features backwards or downwards facing winged like segments that give off a zig zag like appearance. The rest of the plant is normally densely laterally branched however damaged plants often only appear as a main stalk with the rest of the plant damaged by rough weather.
