About

This species is named after it's spines on the abdomen where it has two larger ones half way along and three smaller ones at the end of the abdomen.

Size

Females larger than males at around 12mm and the males only at around 6mm

Habitat

During the day this spider normally is hidden caming out at night to rebuild it orb web and await for prey

Distribution

Across most of southern Australia and nearby places including New Zealand
