About

A common pale greenish garfish with a broad silvery stripe along the midside, a white belly, a reddish tip on the lower jaw, and a broad dusky margin on the caudal fin.

Size

Can grow to around 52cm

Habitat

Found inshore in surface waters of estuaries, bays, inlets and gulfs to a depth of about 20 m

Distribution

Southern Australia from NSW to WA including Tasmania
