This ribbed shell has anumber of fine raised bands that wrap around the shell and whilst these wear away with age they are still present

Size

Typical shell-length up to 50 mm

Habitat

Lives intertidally and subtidally in crevices amongst rocks and seaweed, especially in exposed environments

Distribution

Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA)
