About

The shell is reddish-amber in colour and when alive covered in a dark brown periostracum often worn of in beached shells.

Size

Can grow to around 40mm long

Habitat

Can be found subtidally amoungst rocks and seaweeds

Distribution

Southern Australia from WA to QLD including around Tasmania
