About

This large chiton is common it has a flattened oval shaped body with 8 shell sections (valves) surrounded by a fleshy girdle. Usually dark green or green-blue in colour.

Size

Can grow up to arond 8cm

Habitat

Under rocks on most rock platforms, below mid tide level to depth of 12 m

Distribution

South-eastern Australia from SA to southern QLD including Tasmania
