Features a flattened elongatted oval shaped body with 8 shell sections (valves) surrounded by a fleshy girdle the colour is light brown or cream with darker patterning

Size

Can grow to around 2cm long

Habitat

Can be found under rocks, in tidal pools or below low tide level out to depth of around 18m

Distribution

South-eastern Australia including around Tasmania
