Macroschisma tasmaniae (Sowerby, 1862)

The shell of this species is smaller than the actual snail and site on top of it much like a shield. In this species the shell is narrower than it is long and features ribs running down the shell.

In sandy areas subtidally particulally around seagrass beds often burried under the sand.
