About

A wide spread and common speciea now after it's introduction as a comercial species it is attached to rocks by it's left valve the two valves of the shell are slightly different in size and shape, the right valve being moderately concave. Shell colour is variable, usually pale white or off-white.

Habitat

Intertidally and subtidally attached to rocks

Distribution

In Australia it can be found from NSW to SA including Tasmania.
