About

A small connical sea snail that can be varied in colour the shell generally lacks ribs the apex of the shell is often eroded. The interior of the shell is white but with a dark margin around the area where the muscle attached to the shell.

Size

Can grow to around 1.5cm

Habitat

Lives intertidally attached to the sides of rocks and stones, particularly on more sheltered shores

Distribution

South-eastern and south-western Australia including Tasmania
