Patelloida latistrigata (Angas, 1865)

Oval, conical shell with a very low profile and flattened apex. Shell bears about ten to twelve weak, rounded radial ribs, the gaps between them much wider than the ribs themselves, giving rise to a deeply crenulated margin. Apical area usually eroded, flattened and lacking ribs. Colour pale grey-brown, sometimes darker between the ribs, and with apical area often with fine brown marbling. Interior of shell white on the ribs and black between them; apical area clearly demarcated and strongly marked with black or brown marbling on a pale background
