New Holland Spindle Shell

Propefusus novaehollandiae Reeve, 1847

This larger gastropod has a shell that is medium to light in weight the whorls may be weakly angled with 11 to 15 axial folds and may not be present on the body whorl covered with a brown periostracum over the shell when alive.
