This is a fruticose lichen that grows on the ground, It often grows with moss and can form large mats along the ground. It is white to pale grey, sometimes yellowing at tips of branches, sometimes upper portions or tips blackening

Clumps to 0.5 m wide and up to 5 cm high

Habitat

can be found on granite soils

Eastern Australia from QLD to Tasmania
